There are two kinds of passenger traffic known as "Through" and "Joint Sectional",

(a)

Passenger Fares booked by any train from Hongkong, Kowloon, Hunghom or Yaumati stations to Sheklung or Canton and vice versa shall be considered "Through" traffic and shall be divided in the ratio of 35:65.

(b) Passenger Fares from stations south of Beacon

Hill Tunnel to stations on the Chinese section and vice versa other than Sheklung and Canton, and from stations north of Beacon Hill Tunnel

to all stations on the Chinese section and Tice versa, shall be considered "Joint Section- al" and the division shall be in accordance

with that submitted in Mr. Winslow's letter No.1228 dated 10th June, 1912, to the lianaging Director of the Chinese Section, except in respect of the five stations, viz: Sai Wu, Nam Shek, Wang Lik, Sheung Ping, Tu Tong.

The division of Passenger Fares between any station in the British Section and any of the above-mentioned five stations shall be as

indicated in the letter No.3033 dated 22nd

April, 1914, of the Managing Director of the Chinese Section to the Colonial Secretary of

Hongkong.

Excess Passenger Fares booked by any train from

Hongkong, Kowloon, Hunghom or Yaumati stations

to Sheklung or Canton and vice versa shall be

considered "Through" traffic and shall be

divided in the ratio of 36:65.
